The Leadership Team shall be composed of not less than two and not more than six called staff. It shall consist of not less than six and not more than ten lay members of the body, the total not to exceed sixteen members. Support staff and spouses of called staff shall be ineligible to serve.
The ministry of Ballwin Baptist Church shall be under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ working through the Leadership Team. The Leadership Team will make recommendations and decisions based on carefully assembled facts, scriptural insight, the individual and corporate leading by the Holy Spirit, input from the body, and in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws. (Acts 6:5; 15:6, 22; Hebrews 13:17; 1Thessalonians 5:12-13)
The Leadership Team will exercise a personal spiritual walk that promotes self-examination, maintains a servant-like quality in life, and serve with a sense of gentleness and humility in all that is done.
- Evaluate the current ministries and structure of the church including the Constitution and Bylaws.
- Set goals based on God's vision and direction for His church.
- Formulate recommendations to the body regarding action plans to accomplish the "Purpose Statement" of the church.
- Facilitate the implementation of God's vision and direction for His church.
- Work with the Personal Committee regarding addressing additional staff needs.
- Work with the Finance Committee in dealing with proposed church budgets and Amendments to any proposed church budget.
- Strive to maintain open communication with the flock, both to discern needs, concerns and viewpoints, and to communicate recommendations and decisions in keeping with the Constitution and Bylaws. (Acts 6:1-5; 1:22; 15:1,16:2)
