 The Bible says in John 4:23-24 (NIV) that true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.
Worship is a lifestyle, not just a Sunday morning service. We worship with our lives by obeying the Word of God. The worship of God takes on many facets and requires many talents and gifts other than only singing or playing instruments.
The Music and Worship Ministry at Ballwin seeks to help believers identify and fulfill the use of their gifts and bring honor to the Father in worship. There are a variety of opportunities available to serve through the arts and media. Below is a list of those opportunities.

Worship Choir functions as the entry point for adult involvement in the music ministry of Ballwin. The Worship Choir leads in worship approximately three times a month as well as seasonal productions at Christmas and Easter. The choir rehearses on Wednesday from 7:30-8:30pm and is open to all adults. No audition is required.
 Worship Teams The Worship Team is used to assist the Minister of Music in leading worship on Sundays. Worship Team members are usually selected from the Worship Choir and auditions are required to be in this group. 
Various Ensemble groups lead in worship from time to time. One team may sing more traditional music while the other worships with a contemporary style. Auditions are required to be in an ensemble.
Instrumental Worship Team is a committed team of instrumentalists that help lead in our worship services. We use a variety of instruments...including piano, organ, synth, guitars, bass, drums and would love to include other instruments. Student Choir is open to all youth in 6th through 12th grade. This choir sings in worship as well as prepares for special events during the summer. The Student Choir attended SonPower in the summer of 2009. SonPower is an exciting time where choirs from around the nation gather together in Florida to rehearse and record a CD for distribution. The choir rehearses on Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:00.
Children's Choir is open to all children in 1st through 5th grade. This choir broke new ground this past year with some special musical performances. They participated in the Christmas Festival of Music as well as presented a musical, "Sermon on the Mound.: It's a choir with lots of energy...and your child would love it. The choir rehearses on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:00.
Preschool Choir is open to children age 3, 4 & 5. This choir works on the fundamentals of music. They learn about God through interactive play and songs. The choirs rehearse on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:00.
Bell Choir is open to adults who enjoy making music together. We currently have a group playing 2 octaves of bells. This team presents special music in our worship services as well as various senior facilities. Ballwin is fortunate to have several more octaves of bells, so there is PLENTY of room for you. Tech Ministry Team oversees the sound, lights, graphics and multimedia in all our services and special events. It's a great team to be involved in.
CREATIVE MINISTRIES is open to any individual who enjoys worshipping God through the creative arts. Here is a list of opportunities for you!
Sign Art is open to anyone who is interested in sign language, movement and dance. This is a unique art form which helps interpret songs in a variety of styles.
Drama is open to anyone who is interesed in conveying the theme of the service in a way that uses creative abilities.
