Children
Children are a very important part of the life of Ballwin Baptist Church. We recognize that every child is a gift from God. Our mission is to partner with parents in the spiritual development of the child. Our goal is for every child to have the opportunity to know Jesus and to feel the love of our heavenly Father. We accomplish this through a variety of activities and learning times for your student.
Bible Study / Sunday School: During this time children study the Bible and learn Bible verses. Opportunities are also given for hands-on activities and to share thoughts and discussion. Emphasis is placed on helping each child grow spiritually.
Worship: Children who are 1st grade and above participate in corporate worship. Children's bulletins are available in the Sunday School class or Worship Center Foyer. These bulletins include the sermon outline and other activities to do!
Children's Choirs: Graded choirs are offered for children in 1st through 5th grade. These choir groups meet on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. from September to May. During the course of the year the choirs will provide special music in Worship and at other events.
Special Activities
Tell Me More Class: Two to three times per year we offer the "Now That I'm a Christian" class for children who have amde a profession of faith. This class is designed to help children develop a deeper understanding of conversion, baptism, and the life of a disciple.
Vacation Bible School: Each summer, Ballwin offers a week long opportunity for children ages 4 years through 5th grade to study various biblical lessons and concepts. In addition, children rotate to various specilized activities including crafts, recreation, missions, and music that help to reinforce the lessons they are learning.
Wonderful Wednesdays: During the summer months, Ballwin offers a fun day of activities and Bible study to children who have completed kindegarten through 5th grade.
