hey guys! this is just a reminder that we’re meeting on Nov 20th in the fellowship hall at Ballwin Baptist at 9.30. We’ll be having a Mentor Mom share a devotional with us for us to discuss at our tables afterwards. Also, for our craft time, we’ll be packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. This is also the last meeting for us to collect used shoes for the Kenya Shoe Drop. More information about the Operation Christmas Child and the Kenya Shoe Drop are in the two previous posts.
The snacks will be provided by Dreamsicle Divas. Hope to see you guys there!
This is a reminder to bring at least one pair of used shoes for our Kenya Shoe Drop drive. Our group is taking part in the MOPS Touch pilot, which is incorporating more service into MOPS groups around the country. We’re one group in a handful to do this and test it out! The Kenya Shoe Drop is one our projects for this pilot and we need 80% participation from our moms.
So, if everyone could bring at least one pair of used shoes to the next meeting, we would be helping a fantastic cause — the shoes are sold for weight and the money is used to buy a water well-digging rig to be shipped to Kenya! Thanks, guys, and see you at the next meeting on Nov 20th!

Bring your kids! We’ll be meeting in the fellowship hall and will have snacks, toys for the kids to play while mom registers. If you’ve already registered, you can pick up your packet of information and meet your Discussion Group Leader. We’ll see you there!
…so bear with us, please! we’re still trying to work out the kinks and get everything right, so the links and things may be in different places than you’re used to. we’ll try to get it finished as soon as possible!
Don’t forget about our cooking class this Thursday, April 17th! If you haven’t already been contacted by your DGL, please let them know if you will or will not be attending. We need to plan for childcare and, also, how much food to buy!
Because we’ll be making our own food this meeting, no group is scheduled to bring morning snacks.
See you guys there!!
Hey ladies! Hope you’re all having a good week, with the ups and downs of the weather, at least there’s been a few really nice days in there!
This is a reminder that, b/c of Spring Break week, we will NOT be having a meeting on Thursday, March 20th. We will resume meetings again in April on the 1st Thursday, April 3rd.
For that meeting, the Frappuccino Femmes and Decaf Divas will be bringing the snack.
We’ll be doing a devotion and craft, so please don’t miss it! Sometimes, the spring semester can be difficult with all of the missed dates b/c of Spring Break, inclement weather and illness, but please stick with it! We want every chance to get to enrich and build you all up as moms — it’s why we exist! So come and take a couple of hours to yourself to have “adult speak” and get re-energized!
MOPS is cancelled today due to the snow policy. Remember that if Rockwood School Districts are closed, we won’t be meeting. You can check Rockwoods and other school cancellations at www.ksdk.com.
Our next meeting will be March 6, our annual Tea and Testimony. Hope to see you all there!
This is just a reminder that we will NOT be meeting this coming Thursday, Jan 31st. Our next meeting will be Thursday, Feb 7th.
At that meeting, we’ll be hosting a Couples Panel, where you’ll be able to ask some questions and learn from other couples’ experiences. I’m looking forward to it!
The Cappuccino Chicas are scheduled to bring the snack for that meeting.
See you all there!

In the past two days, three toys have been recalled that we would like to remind you guys of:
1) Curious George Plush Doll — The hazard is that the hard hat the doll wears contains excessive amounts of lead. For additional information, contact Marvel Toys at (800) 352-2064 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.regcen.com/curiousgeorge

2) Aqua Dots — These have been in the news in a big way recently for containing a combination of solutions that mimicks that of the “date rape” drug GHB, causing children who swallow the beads to become comatose, develop respiratory depression, or have seizures. For additional information, contact Spin Master at (800) 622-8339 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.aquadotsrecall.com

3) “Big Red” Wagons — The hazard is that the paint on the wagons contain excessive amounts of lead. For additional information, contact Northern Tool & Equipment Co. at (800) 222-5381 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.northerntool.com

With Christmas coming, please keep these toys in mind. Please continue to check www.toyinfo.org and our link to the right of the screen that says “Toy Recalls” to keep informed on the latest toys. All toys may not make the news, so be sure to check this often!
